Operations Manager Role

We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the COO, translating strategy into action, managing high-priority projects, and ensuring departmental alignment in a fast-growing e-commerce company.

Job Responsibilities

1. Project Execution and Process Management

Create efficient processes using tools like Notion, Google Sheets, and project management software, focusing on clear timelines, accountability, and results.

Oversee and manage critical projects to ensure they meet quarterly goals set by the CEO and COO, coordinating efforts across departments to keep everyone aligned.

Regularly refine our methods to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and achieve the COO's vision.

2. Oversee Operations and Track Performance

Maintain KPI standards, setting up regular checks (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure our processes and KPIs meet company standards.

Take ownership of key operational metrics, such as order accuracy, customer retention, inventory, and customer support efficiency.

Document workflows and make changes as needed to ensure smooth operations.

3. Drive Improvements and Work Autonomously

Take full responsibility for your projects, balancing independence with clear accountability to company standards.

Set up feedback systems, optimize processes, and keep productivity high.

Proactively tackle minor issues to prevent bigger ones, keeping operations flexible and adaptive in a high-growth environment.

4. Foster Collaboration and Accountability

Implement a clear responsibility matrix, establishing a system for tracking roles and responsibilities for team members and partners.

Mentor and support teams, ensuring clear and productive communication.

Reflect Emporia's values in all interactions and help spread our culture across the team.

Requirements

This role requires:

• 5+ years in operations management or project management roles in e-commerce or consultancy

• Experience with Notion, Google Sheets, and other project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com)

• Proven success managing multi-regional projects and ensuring alignment with strategic goals

• Familiarity with platforms like Shopify, Gorgias, and Google Workspace, or willingness to learn quickly

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and qualifications. This is a remote position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
