Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Solutions Developer to join our EU External Fulfillment (EF) Ops Excellence Team at Amazon. The EF team offers flexible, third-party logistics (3PL) solutions to the Amazon network, enabling rapid set-up and scalability.
About the Role
The EU Ops Excellence (OE) team is responsible for driving cross-functional projects and programs to support the External Fulfilment organization. Our work revolves around three main areas:
- Facility Launch Support: We support the launch of standard 3PL facilities (Non Sort, HZ, and BWS) from the request for quotation (RFQ) stage through operational execution.
- Network Optimization: We develop scalable solutions to enhance the performance and quality of the EF network.
- Business Intelligence: We deliver business intelligence through data mining and visualization, providing valuable insights to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Solutions Developer in the team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable data solutions and analytical insight. You will be able to understand the analytical requirements and classify data requests from low to complex, partnering with analysts from the Central Operations Services team to implement effective and fast data delivery solutions.
You will work with a team of highly motivated business intelligence engineers to:
- Design and Implement Complex BI Solutions: Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of complex BI solutions for the External Fulfilment Network.
- Enhance Data Infrastructure: Partner with Data Engineering to enhance data infrastructure and data availability during Prime / PEAK Events.
- Drive Data Automation and Governance: Drive projects on data automation, governance, and standardization.
- Develop Innovative BI Solutions: Develop innovative BI and data analytics solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock and generative AI to build intelligent knowledge bases and conversational interfaces for enhanced business insights and recommendations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Analyzing and Interpreting Data: Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Data Visualization Skills: Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Data Modeling and Warehousing: Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- SQL and Scripting Skills: Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
- AWS Services Experience: Experience with AWS services Bedrock, Lambda, SQS.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field is preferred. Experience in designing the database architecture for large-scale usage is also a plus.
