This role will play a crucial part in driving the execution of Novartis' ambition to leverage data and digital technologies as a strategic asset to drive actionable insights across the organization. This ambition is one of the key pillars in the broader digital transformation happening at Novartis to become a focused medicines company powered by data and digital.
Main Responsibilities
- Accountable for the design and development of LDC solutions in the respective work package, ensuring alignment with business requirements and Novartis architectural standards.
- Collaborate with architecture to identify new technologies and explore new possibilities arising from them.
- Make design decisions for complex issues in strong collaboration with functional GPOs and LDC Pillars, ensuring a detailed rationale and interpretation of implications for the integrated solution.
- Improve and sustain standardization efficiently while respecting regulatory and control requirements.
- Support the development, execution, and operations of solutions, working closely with IT experts and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that dedicated project work is delivered to agreed time, cost, and quality constraints, following release calendars.
- Ensure that solutions are peer-reviewed, formally documented, and signed off by domain pillars and business functions.
- Ensure that solution testing meets quality standards.
- Champion the need to stay standard from a customization perspective, establishing standardized design and development processes to enable cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant internal and external security and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- University-level degree or equivalent.
- Strong functional subject matter expertise in commercial contracting processes with transactional customers (wholesalers, hospitals, pharmacies) across the entire contract lifecycle in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in defining and developing contract and revenue architectures, as well as contract and claims types, including claims maintenance, disputes, and deduction management processes.
