About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team at Avask Accounting & Business Consultants. As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing VAT consultancy and business advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide VAT consultancy and business advice to clients, ensuring the highest standard of service.
  • Calculate and file European VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Advise clients on their VAT liabilities and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Communicate with tax offices regarding client accounts and obligations.
  • Complete VAT audits and investigations with tax offices.
  • Manage client accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.
  • Stay up-to-date with VAT law and changes in VAT legislation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Represent the company at events and webinars in a professional manner.
  • Train and develop new team members.
  • Collaborate with the team in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
Requirements
  • Experience working in law, VAT, accountancy, or finance.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Confident and excellent communication skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability.
