About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer I to join our team at Emburse. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of our innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of complex software systems, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions, leveraging expertise in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer to junior team members.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Contribute to system design sessions, driving innovation and technical excellence.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in software development, with expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience working in OS X and Linux environments, Python frameworks, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, and GIT.
  • Strong understanding of agile application development lifecycle, including Scrum and DevOps.
  • Experience designing and building JSON or REST services, working with 3rd party APIs, and Docker or other containers.
