About the Role

As a Cloud Operations Architect at Amazon, you will be a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. You will craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and many more.

You will partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country, providing advice on architecture, support strategy, project, and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues. You will work with talented cloud technologists, expanding your knowledge of AWS products, and have the chance to receive mentorship and gain AWS certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer.
  • You will ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
  • You will develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
  • You will drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
  • You will consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
  • You will collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
  • You will proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
  • You will provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, monthly & quarterly metrics, and detailed pre-launch planning.
  • You will solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.
  • You will uplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown bag sessions, etc.

Requirements

  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience in technical engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Spanish and English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
  • Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
