Quality Technician

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in the Production Tests Team, reporting directly to the Production Tests Team Leader. This individual is responsible for maintaining and updating test procedures, as well as executing and documenting board/equipment level tests.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Test Procedure Management : For each verification test activity conducted at the board/equipment level, test procedures are updated to include detailed descriptions of test objectives, configurations, setups, instrumentation steps, and success criteria. These procedures are derived from the Test Plan developed by the Technical Manager.
  • Test Execution and Documentation : The Quality Technician prepares necessary jigs and tooling fixtures for test execution, working closely with senior technicians/test engineers (for initial models until knowledge transfer is completed). This requires high concentration levels and attention to detail when handling and operating the deliverable product. Given the tight schedules and often customer pressure, some projects may necessitate test execution during evening shifts or weekends. The technician is also responsible for identifying and reporting Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) during board testing.
  • Test Reporting and Analysis : Following each unit verification activity, a comprehensive test report is submitted. The report outlines significant results, compares measured parameters with requirements/allocation, and assesses the degree to which initial objectives were achieved.
