Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Smart Biotherapeutics Development
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our ChemSynBio group at Smart Delivery in Barcelona, Spain. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research on the generation of Smart Biotherapeutics, focusing on developing reversible masking methods based on chemogenetic approaches to create conditionally-active proteins targeting brain tumors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, clone, produce, and characterize conditionally-active proteins.
- Test their functionality and assess their blood-brain barrier transport capacity using cell models.
- Collaborate with the team to advance biomolecular engineering and enhance the transport of biotherapeutics across the blood-brain barrier.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Required experience in molecular biology and some knowledge of chemistry.
- Bonus experience in antibody/protein engineering, organic/peptide/bioorthogonal chemistry, computational skills, and cellular assays.
- Strong interest in working with proteins and peptides for therapeutic purposes.
- Self-motivation, proactivity, and creativity.
- Team spirit, good social skills, and excellent communication skills in English.
