The RoleYou will be responsible for implementing and customizing the Guidewire core insurance system, working with alternative JVM languages. You will also develop our own systems as part of the internal R&D team, support your colleagues by sharing your knowledge, and be an authority figure for more junior team members.
You will design IT solutions, prepare documentation, create unit tests, and work directly with our clients as an active member of an agile project team.
The Skills and ToolsYou will use Java or Gosu, Git, Jenkins, and similar tools, IntelliJ, SOAP, REST, Apex, Oracle, MSSQL, H2, and more depending on the project.
The RequirementsYou need at least 4 years of commercial experience as a software developer, preferably in Java. You should have hands-on insurance domain experience, banking, or system integration. You should also have a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, clean code principles, and best practices.
You should have a solid understanding of software engineering concepts, good command of English language at least B2/C1 level, and willingness to learn new technologies and work with them. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also essential.
The Nice to HavesFluency in French or German, Guidewire experience and certificates, experience in consulting, eagerness to learn about new technologies and solutions, and willingness to travel regularly are all nice to have.
