Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Global Sanctions Compliance Lead to join our Risk & Compliance Research team in Barcelona, Spain.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead and develop a team of experts in sanctions compliance research, focusing on individuals and entities mentioned in official lists issued by government bodies and regulators worldwide.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Training and developing your team to maximize their potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation.
- Organizing and assigning tasks to your team, allocating resources effectively.
- Monitoring and evaluating your team's performance.
- Responding to client inquiries about regulatory list content.
- Monitoring and analyzing changes in anti-money laundering regulations.
- Writing due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required and contributing to other projects.
- Collaborating with other departments to drive key business initiatives and decisions.
- Contributing to data and workflow improvements and tool efficiencies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- A deep understanding of sanctions regulations.
- At least one year's experience as a professional researcher or analyst.
- Proofreading skills and experience handling large volumes of information.
- Experience managing a team or leading a project.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome candidates with additional languages, knowledge of automation tools, and a degree-level education or relevant experience.
