Job Title: Tech Lead

As a Tech Lead at Collective Minds Radiology, you'll be part of a dynamic team driving innovation and excellence in software engineering.

Job Summary:

A Tech Lead is a seasoned software engineer responsible for leading a team and shaping the technical direction. This involves establishing a clear technical vision, resolving technical disagreements, and ensuring the quality of team deliverables. Effective technical leadership ensures the team adopts best practices, invests in continuous improvement, and adapts to changing needs and environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive architectural discussions and decisions.
  2. Oversee the quality of the codebase and technical growth of the team.
  3. Build and mentor a high-performing team.
  4. Guide the team in their development and technical growth.
  5. Establish a technical vision with the team.
  6. Stay involved in code to make informed decisions, identify technical risks, and maintain trust with developers.
  7. Participate in building solutions for performance optimizations.
  8. Lead discussions on decisions that impact future architectural choices.
  9. Collaborate with external stakeholders on technical topics.
  10. Meet with infrastructure teams to understand network or hardware changes.
  11. Engage with other Tech Leads to ensure our system aligns with the broader company ecosystem.
  12. Partner with product teams to ensure our architecture supports future work.
Requirements:
  1. Development: Proven experience as a developer, with a strong understanding of good quality code and the ability to help the team with technical challenges.
  2. Architecture: A deep understanding of how software fits into the overall system, including deployment, management, and operation in a production environment. Familiarity with patterns such as microservices, DevOps, pubsub, etc.
  3. Leadership: Strong leadership skills, including coaching, influencing, and delegation.
  4. Understanding of agile software development in a regulated industry.
  5. Proficiency in English as the primary work language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Relevant certifications.
  2. Experience with medical imaging endpoints.
  3. Background in heavily regulated sectors.
