Moffatt & Nichol is a renowned global leader in waterfront infrastructure projects, specializing in complex and large-scale undertakings. As part of our team, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to drive the smooth operation of HR functions across our Spanish business units.

**Job Overview:**

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills and qualifications, ensuring the effective handling of employment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, recognition, and compensation administration. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels, providing technical guidance and direction to colleagues and leadership teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish a culture that supports employees throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding to development.
  • Evaluate compliance with country labor laws and company policies.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with various HR functions to address employee concerns throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Support employee development through local providers, ensuring health and safety compliance, personal development, and leadership development.
  • Assist in the implementation of corporate policy at the business unit or division level.
  • Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
  • Resolve employee relations issues using a systematic approach.
  • Assist senior management in developing solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development.
  • Develop and drive company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, benefits renewal, payroll queries, workforce planning, and organizational change).
  • Lead special projects in the realm of human resources management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a human resources department.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent English & Spanish verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
