Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team at The Language Business. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to our employees in Madrid.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide HR administrative support in the recruitment process, including liaison with applicants and hiring managers, reference checking, and psychometric testing as required.
  2. Support payroll, benefits, and pensions administration.
  3. Manage critical administrative tasks within the end-to-end recruitment process.
  4. Take full ownership and responsibility of pan-European People administrative and transactional services.
  5. Prepare and issue all relevant correspondence to employees.
  6. Manage critical administrative tasks within the end-to-end leavers process.
  7. Analyse and manage complex employee and line manager requests.
  8. Advise on and propose best practice solutions.
  9. Act as an ambassador for and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  10. Promote and nurture effective communication and working relationships with all People Directors, People Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, and People Services Subject Matter Experts.
  11. Participate in implementation projects and take on ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements
  1. Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.
  2. Experience in People Services or HR or Payroll / Benefits from working in Spain or a Spanish company is essential.
  3. Knowledge of Spanish labour law and Relaciones Laborales qualification.
  4. Keen interest in working in People / HR, Payroll.
  5. Knowledge of People / HR systems is an advantage (Service Now, SuccessFactors, ADP) relating to Spain.
  6. Demonstrates service-oriented, responsive, and continuous improvement mindset.
  7. Efficiently multi-tasks in a highly pressurised environment with great attention to detail.
  8. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
