**Job Description**
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist - Molecular Biology to support our research team in COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the processing of samples from alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency patients;
- Providing laboratory support for the research group in COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency;
- Performing different molecular biology studies;
- Collecting data and collaborating in data analysis and interpretation;
- Analyzing results and elaborating summary and scientific abstracts and/or publications.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree in Biomedicine or a related field;
- Master's in Molecular Biology and/or biomedicine already completed;
- Fluency in Spanish, Catalan, and English;
- Previous and demonstrable experience in genetics;
- Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, sequencing, ELISA, and cell culture;
- Knowledge of respiratory diseases, particularly COPD and alpha-1antitrypsin deficiency;
- Prior publications or congress presentations are a plus.
