Job Description
We are currently seeking a Data Analysis and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality department, you will be responsible for analyzing data to improve and optimize our inspection processes. You will combine technical IT skills with a keen analytical understanding to maintain the highest quality standards. In addition, you will carry out inspections yourself and work closely with our commercial team to ensure that our products meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out physical inspections of fruit and vegetables
- Analyzing data to improve inspections and quality controls
- Working with the commercial team to understand customer requirements and translate them into inspection criteria
- Developing and maintaining IT solutions to improve inspection processes
- Traveling to various locations within Europe for contact with customers, inspections, and quality checks
- Reporting findings and recommendations to the Head of Quality and Sustainability
- Training and supervising new staff and trainees in inspection and quality processes
- Implementing new technologies and methodologies in the inspection process
- Monitoring trends and developments within the fruit and vegetable sector to proactively implement quality improvements
- Supporting audits and certification processes
Requirements
- Experience with or willingness to inspect fruit and vegetables
- Commercial insight and ability to translate customer needs into quality standards
- Foundation in IT and technical skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis
- Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to travel regularly, both nationally and internationally
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Affinity with quality management systems and certifications (e.g., GlobalGAP, IFS)
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
