Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach Technology and Design courses to secondary students in our MYP Programme. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and a Master's degree in teaching. Previous experience in international contexts is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver Technology and Design courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines and the Middle Years Programme.
- Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas.
- Use relevant technology to support teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop, and write new curriculum documents, assessment, and reporting.
- Keep abreast of international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.
- Observe, monitor, and evaluate student learning and progress.
- Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework, and other projects.
- Model classroom enquiry practice and the IB learner profile.
- Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.
- Communicate students' progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.
- Maintain good behaviour of pupils in the classroom and on school premises.
- Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school and institutional events.
- Engineering, Computer Science, Digital technology or similar degree.
- Master's degree in teaching.
- Previous teaching experience in international contexts is highly desirable.
- Level C1 English.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
- Desirable experience in Managebac or similar.
- Office package management.
- Master Formación del Profesorado o C.A.P.
- Permanent contract.
- 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday schedule.
