About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer - Automation Specialist to join our team at Greif. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, communicating, and implementing plans for engineering projects across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation solutions using PLC systems, ensuring optimal productivity, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to prepare project drawings and specifications.
- Interface with contractors, manage project expenditures, and perform cost analyses.
- Develop detailed equipment layouts, benefit analyses, and project schedules.
- Apply expertise to analyze and solve complex problems, often leading small project teams and training junior colleagues.
- Incorporate safety measures into design specifications, promoting safety practices and habits.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, automation, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as CAD.
- PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certifications a plus.
