About the Job: This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Transaction Lawyer. You will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to various departments, including sales, procurement, human resources, finance, and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including but not limited to, sales, procurement, human resources, finance, and marketing
  • Manage specific customer relationships as Business Partner identified by the GC EMEA
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as supply agreements, distribution contracts, procurement contracts, and other contracts relevant to the automotive industry
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide practical, business-savvy counseling to the businesses in all areas of commercial transactions
  • Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation matters, including liaising with external counsel, preparing legal documents, and advising on strategy

Requirements:

  • A Law degree (University / State examination or equivalent); admission to practice law in Spain is a plus
  • 3 years of transactional experience, preferably in the automotive/manufacturing industry or in a reputable law firm or a corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in commercial transactions and Spanish labor/employment law
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Team player with a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to build positive relationships with management and other members of the legal team, with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes positively
  • Familiarity working within a matrix environment on behalf of multiple and diverse business functions and organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience managing outside counsel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, meet tight deadlines, and make solid judgment calls under pressure
