Aston Robinson International, a fast-growing Tech Data-Driven company, is seeking two experienced Staff Platform Engineers to strengthen its engineering teams. The successful candidates will be part of a high-impact, cross-functional role that involves building a roadmap and instilling best DevOps practices among the various engineering teams.
Job Description
The Staff Platform Engineer will work closely with colleagues internationally on topics such as security, advanced monitoring, and FinOps. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing production readiness plans for critical projects
- Managing large-scale infrastructure, including several terabytes of data
- Developing bespoke automation tools in Golang to address complex infrastructure and data challenges
- Collaborating with team members to build a roadmap and implement best DevOps practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff SRE / DevOps / Platform / Cloud Engineer (lead role without direct authority)
- At least 8 years of experience as an infrastructure engineer (not including studies)
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Kafka in a production environment (minimum of 3 years)
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing large-scale infrastructure (IaC, Cloud, Monitoring)
- Development skills in Python or ideally Golang
