Accounting Assistant Opportunity at Happy Mammoth LLC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team at Happy Mammoth LLC. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department with various tasks, including data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, and assisting with audits or fact-checking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily communications and respond to any queries in a timely manner.
  • Update the payment schedule and PO Tracker with new invoices and payments.
  • Process purchase invoices through DEXT and Xero software.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation in Xero software.
  • Make supplier payments through online banking.
  • Raise and process sales invoices in Xero.
  • Assist with data collection, calculation, and reporting for European VAT returns.
  • Support with month-end tasks, including I/C Ledgers, Sales Tax Reconciliation, Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations, I/C Recharges, Depreciation & Fixed assets schedule, and preparing and posting month-end journals.
  • Assist with VAT and Tax returns, as well as all Compliance and KYC requests.
  • Act as a liaison with suppliers for missing invoices/payments, etc.
  • Update and maintain procedural documentation.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Adobe, and Word.
  • At least 3 years of experience with accounting software (preferably Xero).
  • 3+ years of Bookkeeping knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with EU VAT and accounting procedures is a plus.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
