Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Sommelier to join our team at The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for developing and curating a world-class wine program that complements our culinary experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Curating the Wine Selection: Source and purchase wines from prestigious estates and environmentally responsible producers, ensuring a balance between well-known labels and boutique offerings.
- Wine Pairing and Guest Guidance: Work closely with the culinary team to create harmonious food and wine pairings, personally guiding guests through their wine choices and recording their preferences.
- Wine Experience Program: Develop and lead wine events, tastings, and wine dinners, creating immersive experiences for guests that showcase the depth of our wine program.
- Stock Management and Rotation: Oversee all aspects of wine stock management, ensuring optimal inventory levels, appropriate stock rotation, and minimisation of waste.
About Us: The Palace is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Archer Hotel Management Limited, and is part of the Marriott International portfolio. As a Head Sommelier, you will be employed by the franchisee and will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine experiences to our guests.
