Viatris is seeking a highly skilled Global Medical Affairs Lead to join our team in the Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area. As a key member of our Medical Affairs team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing medical strategies to support the launch and growth of our innovative products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute medical strategies to support the launch and growth of our innovative products in the Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial, to ensure alignment and effective communication of medical information.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area, including clinical evidence, standard of care, unmet needs, and competitive intelligence.
- Oversee the development of innovative product medical strategies, providing guidance and medical inputs to address medical issues.
- Lead Medical Affairs engagement with key functions, including Regulatory and Marketing.
- Engage in external collaborations to gain insight and facilitate development of our innovative products.
- Responsible for review of manuscripts to ensure alignment with strategy and effective communication/presentation.
- Build visibility for the company's innovative programs through publications and presentations at relevant scientific meetings.
- Develop and manage budgets for global initiatives.
- Work with priority countries to support development plans, launch excellence, and post-launch medical strategies.
- Provide TA medical leadership through accountability of strategic medical initiatives.
- Lead functional plans supporting global medical strategy.
- Conduct KOL mapping and educate KOLs identified regarding clinical trial data.
- Ensure TA Training & capability development of medical teams across Viatris.
- Participate in product development strategy and lifecycle management of global key brands.
- Act as a company scientific representative to engage external scientific leaders.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in the Cardiovascular Therapeutic Area, with a Master's degree or equivalent required. MD, Pharm D, or PhD with relevant Cardiovascular specialization is preferred. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of global medical/commercial governance and experience working in a matrix environment.
