About the Role
Amazon Data Services Spain, S. L. is seeking a highly skilled Installation Technician to join our team in the EMEA regions. As a key member of our Infrastructure Delivery team, you will be responsible for the physical deployment of new data center infrastructure, including the installation of cabling and new racks within our state-of-the-art data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and test copper and Fiber Optic cabling to ensure seamless connectivity and data transfer.
- Perform basic build and troubleshooting of network devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results within designated time frames and adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
- Travel within the geographical work area to support data center operations and ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations, withstanding hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and testing of cabling and network devices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
