Transforming Logistics with Technology

At sennder, we're revolutionizing the digital freight forwarder landscape in Europe. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our Carriers and Drivers department's technological future.

Our Asset Planning team is developing a cutting-edge logistics platform that optimizes asset management, scheduling, and route optimization. This integrated system will balance cost reduction with revenue maximization, leveraging AI-driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative solutions within our team's scope, collaborating with fellow engineers to create proof of concepts and technical design documents.
  • Take ownership of team components and libraries, ensuring consistency and effectiveness, and lead architectural designs for mid-sized projects.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers in an agile team environment, creating documentation and enhancing test automation to maintain high-quality products.
  • Participate in the development of a robust event-driven microservice architecture and micro-frontend framework, improving engineering standards and processes.
  • Work with product managers to design and plan features aligned with broader business goals, ensuring seamless launch readiness.
  • Engage in community participation, promoting best practices in software engineering, and mentor junior developers to foster their growth and professional development.
  • Contribute to sennder's inner source projects, enhancing and sharing expertise within the broader tech community.

This role demands a skilled Full Stack Engineer with a strong foundation in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient software systems. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing complex event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems, particularly with microservices.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar, leveraging these environments to optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript, and other core technologies driving our product development.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment practices and infrastructure as code, enhancing our deployment processes and service delivery.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Terraform and Kafka would be highly advantageous, providing tools to contribute to our infrastructure and data processing capabilities.

Familiarity with Fastify and CI/CD integration using Gitlab is also beneficial, streamlining our development and operational procedures.
