Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Alight. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our cloud-based product suite and offering, including day-to-day tactical and transactional activities.
  • Manage priorities and focus between new development and support of existing activities, ensuring seamless delivery and quality.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage risks and issues that impact the delivery plan, ensuring adherence to global and country team standards.
  • Drive quality and ensure adherence to DevOps ways of working, collaborating with the team to ensure all tasks are completed.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery and manage different stakeholder contributions in a structured and objective manner.

  • Hands-on approach with a strong focus on accuracy and quality, self-starter with a proven record of working independently and collaboratively in a demanding interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Track record of success in dealing effectively with complex projects entailing frequent interaction with senior executives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor or master's degree with a business or technical emphasis, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile, lean, and/or DevOps-driven environments.
  • Working knowledge and experience of release management and infrastructure.
  • Experience in troubleshooting web applications/services at the server level.
  • Basic scripting experience, such as Shell or Python.
  • Experience as an Azure DevOps Admin (at least intermediate level).
  • OS administration experience, including Windows and Linux (at least intermediate level).
  • Experience with New Relic monitoring for performance analysis and tuning (at least intermediate level).
  • Experience and working knowledge of cloud landscapes, ideally Azure at an intermediate level.
