**About the Role**
We are seeking a Tax Structure Expert to join our team at GoStudent GmbH. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing tax planning strategies aligned with the company's overall financial goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
- Monitor and assess the impact of new and existing tax laws on the company's operations and financials.
- Review the group's legal entity structure, contract setups, and flow of goods to identify and optimize VAT, CIT, and Commercial Tax.
- Analyze service and cash flow arrangements to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
- Work closely with the legal and financial teams to restructure entities and contracts as necessary.
- Continuously seek new ways of working to make tax processes run smoother and faster.
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline tax processes using the company's existing tech stack.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex transactions.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and updates to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to address technical accounting issues.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax accounting or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of EU and country-specific tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
