Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is a leading research institution in Spain.
We are seeking a skilled Cryptographic Researcher to join our team for an open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the ERC project.
The researcher will be based at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department, with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around €60,000, including flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to relocation procedures, and 23 paid vacation days plus December 24th and 31st.
Cryptographic Researcher Job Description:
The successful candidate will coordinate software-hardware co-design efforts, advise on R&D related to homomorphic encryption, write papers and scientific documents, and drive dissemination and communication tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Cryptography background, preferably in Homomorphic Encryption from a computer science perspective
- Ph.D. in a related field (already acquired or nearby graduation)
- Good English level and scientific writing skills
- Able to understand or quickly acquire basic concepts of computer architecture and software optimization/parallelization
