Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist

The Docplanner team is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist to join our Financial Reporting team. This role will play a key part in supporting the evolution of financial reporting in a challenging and stimulating environment. As a Financial Reporting and Analysis Specialist, you will help bridge the gap between finance and Business Intelligence, assisting the business in making decisions based on data. Your primary objective will be to produce reports as the primary and most reliable source of information.

Key Responsibilities:
• Track key financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring they align with organizational goals;
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial dashboards using advanced Business Intelligence tools;
• Provide detailed insights into financial performance, trends, and variances;
• Provide insights for long-term strategic decisions;

Data Management and Integration:
• Ensure accurate and timely collection of financial data from systems like Oracle NetSuite;
• Integrate data from multiple sources for a unified financial view;

Performance Measurement:
• Analyze profitability and cost efficiency to identify improvement areas;

Regulatory and Compliance Reporting:
• Support audits and regulatory documentation;

Automation and Process Improvement:
• Automate repetitive financial tasks to improve efficiency;
• Implement process improvements to reduce manual efforts and errors;

Enhanced Reporting and Visualization:
• Utilize Business Intelligence tools like Tableau for dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards;
• Enhance report quality and accessibility beyond traditional spreadsheets;

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related field;
• Demonstrable experience in using SQL to derive actionable insights, either in a commercial or academic setting;
• Knowledge of Python/R and a desire to expand your knowledge;
• Experience with statistical modeling and descriptive statistics;
• Experience in partnership with internal stakeholders;
• Experience in leading and executing end-to-end Business Intelligence projects;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
• Proficiency in other languages such as German, Spanish, and Italian is a plus;
• Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and report large volumes of financial data with speed and accuracy;
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to provide high-quality work efficiently;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to adapt and work in a quickly changing environment, managing competing demands;
