About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Communications Systems Engineer to join our team at Reconocida empresa. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for our broadband communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Verification of DSP Algorithms: You will design, verify, and test DSP algorithms for broadband communication systems, including modulators, demodulators, filters, equalizers, channel coding, and echo cancellers.
- Cross-Layer Algorithm Optimization: You will model and optimize cross-layer PHY-MAC algorithms using link-level and network simulation tools to ensure optimal performance.
- HW/SW Partitioning: You will define, specify, and test the hardware-software partitioning of DSP, control, and data path blocks to ensure efficient and reliable system operation.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: You will work closely with our ASIC design and firmware engineering teams to ensure correct implementation and integration of DSP algorithms.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering (Ph.D. is an asset).
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in DSP design for communications.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, good mathematical background, and experience with MATLAB, C/C++, SystemC, and Python.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with WiFi IEEE standards and/or other standards like ITU G.Hn or DOCSIS is a plus, as well as experience with event-driven network simulation tools like NS-3 or OMNET++.
