We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team at Futron Incorporated. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and guidance on construction projects, including facility construction concepts, principles, and practices.
- Review and understand technical engineering specifications and statements of work, including complex and diverse engineering designs or changes to contract documents.
- Monitor construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects to ensure successful and timely completion, with respect to schedule and budget.
- Perform strenuous activities while working outdoors in extreme heat or cold, working in confined spaces, climbing, and using fall protection equipment.
- Successfully pass required security background investigation and maintain a medical certificate of physical qualification.
- Have training and knowledge of Primavera scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software packages.
- Ensure compliance with safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations related to engineering performance requirements.
- Extensive experience in facility construction concepts, principles, and practices.
- Ability to understand and review technical engineering specifications and statements of work.
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices and methods, and construction management skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Extensive experience in monitoring construction, maintenance, repair, and alteration projects.
- Training and knowledge of Primavera scheduling software and/or other construction scheduling software packages.
- Ability to perform strenuous activities while working outdoors in extreme heat or cold.
- Successfully pass required security background investigation.
- Record of completion of the full 40-hour EM Construction Safety Course.
Monthly salary. No benefits are paid through Futron.
This position is located in Rota, Spain, and we are looking for Spanish nationals who commute daily to and from the job site.
