As a Compliance Risk Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring seamless onboarding experiences for our valued customers.
Role Overview:
You will be part of the KYC Team, collaborating closely with FinCrime, Compliance, and Operations to ensure comprehensive risk mitigation and regulatory adherence. Your mission is to analyze and assess profiles, verify identities, identify potential red flags, and escalate particular cases to the FinCrime team for further review.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence, capturing client documentation and facilitating timely onboarding for merchant customers
- Analyze and assess profiles, verifying identities and identifying potential risks
- Provide customer support, assisting primarily via email to ensure a smooth onboarding and verification process
- Perform periodical reviews, maintaining up-to-date records and compliance
- Utilize screening databases, screening customers using PEP databases and adverse media sources to identify potential risks
Your Ideal Profile:
- Relevant experience: 1-2 years in a similar role, ideally in a startup or the financial sector
- Legal framework knowledge: Good understanding of relevant AML/KYC legal frameworks
- AML/AFC qualification: Qualification from ACAMS, ICA, or a similar industry body is considered a plus
- Language proficiency: Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of French and Italian being a strong plus
