About the Role

BDF Ingredients is seeking a highly skilled R&D Manager to join our Biotech R&D team. As a key member of our innovation team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products and processes that contribute to BDF's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership
    • Plan and execute projects to achieve business objectives within defined timelines and budgets.
    • Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Lead and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and achieve project objectives.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, production, and technical departments, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Product Development
    • Develop key process and product specifications to define product characteristics and manufacturing requirements.
    • Contribute to the creation of the innovation projects pipeline by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop and renovate the product portfolio.
  • Knowledge Management
    • Develop and maintain BDF's knowledge base to ensure that it is not wasted and protected.
    • Share knowledge and expertise with team members and other departments to drive innovation and growth.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including grants, subsidies, and partnerships.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Food Sciences, Biology, or Agricultural Food Engineering.
  • Experience
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a R&D department, preferably in the industry sector.
  • Skills
    • Proactive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High command of English, spoken and written.
