ThoughtWorks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Consultant to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise and web-scale hosting platforms, administering application servers, web servers, and databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud and infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal teams.
  • Administer and manage cloud and infrastructure platforms, including Azure, virtualization, and application hosting technologies.
  • Collaborate with software delivery teams to implement DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Work with IaaS cloud platforms, application runtime platforms, and container clusters to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using scripting languages to automate tasks and build Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks.
  • Monitor systems for availability, performance, or security and implement solutions to address any issues.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with cloud and infrastructure technologies, including Azure, virtualization, and application hosting.
  • Excellent understanding of DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience working with IaaS cloud platforms, application runtime platforms, and container clusters.
  • Strong scripting skills using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
  • Strong understanding of security concerns, threats, and approaches for dealing with them.
