Job Summary

We are seeking an inspirational Project Manager with an Electrical Engineering background to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of MEP engineers and technical specialists to deliver large building projects. You will actively participate in the development of the delivery team and ensure AECOM delivers the quality required to achieve a successful outcome for the company and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of MEP engineers and technical specialists to support the technical delivery of large building projects.
  • Actively participate in the development of the delivery team and ensure AECOM delivers the quality required to achieve a successful outcome for the company and our clients.
  • Be competent to deliver, review, and approve engineering solutions.
  • Support on bidding opportunities and act as the technical team leader for projects, from feasibility through to handover.
  • Identify change and, where required, liaise/support the project Commercial Manager with supporting technical justification for the change.
  • Act as the main point of contact for MEP with design teams.
  • Ensure financial targets and internal KPI's are met, including motivating others to contribute.
  • Prepare and present designs, reports, and specifications.
  • Contribute to the update of AECOM standards.
  • Grow Client and Architect relationships to support the continued growth of the business.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff, promoting CPD activities.
  • Maintain and enhance expertise within the team and as an individual.
  • Lead and support AECOM's Net zero carbon strategy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Degree educated in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients.
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent technical understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering along with a solid understanding of the requirements of other disciplines collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • A track record of successful collaboration with design teams nationally and internationally.
