About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior developer to work on a wide range of projects, leveraging their expertise in cloud computing and backend development. As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of high-quality backend systems using Java Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with QA and Business Analysts to analyze issues and create solutions.
  • Document solutions in Group Santander tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
  • Maintain code quality in accordance with Santander standards.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and relevant events.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in developing backend applications, ideally in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Java 11 and/or 8 required.
  • Experience working in event-driven architecture.
  • Experience managing cloud computer services (Openshift, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of Github, Jenkins, and Urbancode in a continuous integration workflow.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in DDBB query development (Oracle) and knowledge of financial products.
