Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team at Chubb in Madrid. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting small and medium-sized clients and brokers in their own language.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to brokers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Underwrite and evaluate risks in accordance with Chubb's guidelines and underwriting authority, ensuring accurate and timely decisions.
- Work closely with underwriting and sales teams in France to promote our offering, exploit cross-selling opportunities, and ensure portfolio sustainability.
- Review and adapt underwriting offers, leading contract negotiations with brokers to secure new business.
- Support brokers handling small and medium-sized enterprises by maintaining good commercial relationships, providing quality service, and meeting deadlines.
- Ensure effective management of policies throughout their life cycle, ensuring timely renewals and policy adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders, to drive business growth and success.
Requirements and Skills
- Native/bilingual in French is a must.
- Business level of English (C1) is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, law, insurance, or engineering would be preferable.
- Experience in the insurance sector is essential.
- Prior underwriter experience in Casualty, Environmental risks, and Life sciences is preferable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required.
