Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing data processes and overseeing a team of Data and Business Support Analysts. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of data products and services, maintaining high standards of data integrity, and managing the team effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Team Management

Oversee and manage a team of Geospatial Property Analysts, ensuring effective performance, professional development, and high levels of engagement.

Data Product Delivery

Develop and manage data product delivery processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and meet quality standards.

ETL Pipeline Development

Lead the development and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support data integration and analysis.

Quality Assurance

Conduct quality assurance of data pipelines and products, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Database Management

Manage the implementation and maintenance of database technologies, including PostgreSQL or other relational database management systems (RDBMS).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data products meet business requirements and client needs.

Technical Guidance

Provide technical guidance and support to team members on data-related tasks and projects.

Data Governance

Ensure adherence to data governance and security protocols.

Performance Monitoring

Monitor and report on team performance, project progress, and data quality metrics.

Process Improvement

Facilitate continuous improvement of data processes and team workflows.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Acquired Experience

3-5 years of experience in managing data products and their delivery.

Leadership Experience

Proven experience in managing and leading a team of data professionals.

Data Background

Strong background in data processes, including ETL pipeline development and management.

Database Expertise

Extensive experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

Quality Assurance

Demonstrated experience in quality assurance of data pipelines and products.

Problem-Solving Skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

Communication Skills

Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Organizational Skills

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Attention to Detail

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

The following qualifications are desirable:

  1. University Degree

University degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Science).

Geospatial Knowledge

Understanding of geospatial data and applications (e.g., ESRI, QGIS).

Data Visualization

Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.

Agile Methodologies

Knowledge of Agile software development processes and methodologies.

Programming Languages

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
