Job Title: Transport Planner Trainee

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support our established and dedicated team in Madrid.
  • Participate in the preparation of various transportation planning studies for a wide range of projects.
  • Have the opportunity to participate in general transportation planning and the development of transportation models.
  • Work on collaboration in transportation modeling: data collection, coding of networks, and analysis.
  • Understand master plans for transportation: location and distribution of land uses, generation of trips, development of road hierarchies, geometric limitations, public and pedestrian transportation planning.
  • Perform analysis to support the preparation of presentations and reports related to transportation studies and traffic modeling work.
  • Use transportation analysis software and make changes to the system as needed.
  • Manage transportation planning projects (or part of them).
  • Have a positive attitude and work in a team.
  • Have good customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have initiative and responsibility.
  • Be self-motivated, willing to learn, and eager to face new challenges every day.
  • Feel curious about the transportation market and mobility, and try to understand client and sector trends.
Requirements:
  • Cursing a degree, master's degree in engineering, or a degree in geography.
  • Advanced management of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of English (C1).
Additional Valued:
  • Desire to improve transportation systems and willingness to learn.
  • Numerical and analytical inclination, with good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of other representation tools: GIS.
  • Software for traffic simulation: VISSIM, VISUM, Aimsun, or similar.
  • Programming: Python.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing the results of analysis and modeling.
  • Any other language knowledge will be valued positively.
  • Previous experience in the sector will be valued but not essential.
Conditions of the Grant:
  • Be enrolled in the university to establish a convention.
  • Immediate incorporation.
Duration:
  • 6 months of grant renewable (possibility of incorporation after the grant).
Working Hours:
  • From 20 to 35 hours a week to be defined with the student.
Remuneration:
  • Depending on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.
