About the Role

We're looking for a talented developer with experience in ReactJS/TypeScript to design and develop cross-functional, multi-platform user interfaces that visualize, interact with, and manage large amounts of data in the cloud. You'll work on projects like globalforestwatch.org, resourcewatch.org, and more, using your expertise in web mapping libraries, data visualization, and front-end frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user interfaces for data visualization projects
  • Work with clients to define requirements and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with data scientists, back-end engineers, project managers, and designers to integrate disparate technologies
  • Communicate with users, colleagues, and stakeholders to collect requirements and describe features
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience with React library
  • Mid-level proficiency in TypeScript
  • Modern CSS and responsive design skills
  • Experience with state management (Redux, Jotai, React Query)
  • Familiarity with web mapping libraries (Mapbox, ArcGIS) and client-side rendering technologies
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks (Next.js)
  • Testing and QA skills (Cypress, Playwright, Jest)
  • Continuous integration tools (GitHub Actions)
