About the Role

The role of Senior HR Business Partner in our Madrid office is a pivotal position that requires a strong understanding of HR practices, particularly in social affairs, work councils, and national unions within Spain. As a member of our team, you will provide strategic support to our Executive Leadership Team, solve complex HR challenges, and manage local responsibilities related to employee relations, work councils, and social affairs. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving HR solutions that align with our global objectives while respecting local cultural and legislative nuances.

Your Impact

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR solutions, drawing on the expertise of HR Centers of Excellence in areas like disciplinary matters, legal affairs, and personnel administration. You will assist managers in understanding HR issues, developing their teams, and guiding new joiners through the onboarding process. Additionally, you will propose and initiate training programs to support business growth and help in performance reviews, talent reviews, and succession planning. You will also manage and negotiate employee departures with a focus on fairness and compliance, and deploy Group HR processes locally, ensuring they are aligned with local legislation and cultural practices.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess language skills, specifically fluency in Spanish and English, as well as deep knowledge of HR practices, particularly in social affairs, work councils, and national unions within Spain. You will also need to have strong problem-solving abilities, experience in coaching and supporting managers, and proven negotiation skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to localize and implement global HR processes, ensuring alignment with local laws and cultural practices, and participate in global HR projects with an international dimension.
