About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Engineer to join our team at The Workshop. As a key member of our Analytics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality experience of our Visualization platforms, enabling our clients to transform and report upon their data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that our Visualization platforms instance is fit for purpose and provides a quality experience for all users.
  • Establish and maintain a framework for handling reporting security.
  • Develop and own Admin Visualization reporting.
  • Own relationships with key individuals across our internal and external clients.
  • Cross train peers in the Visualization platforms administration.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Data Group, Analytics Team, and with business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the IT department to coordinate and validate common procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, deployment, etc.
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of mission-critical data.

Requirements
  • 5+ years IT experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in one of the following roles supporting mission-critical production environments: Tableau Server Administration (on-premise or Cloud).
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools (GIT, SVN, etc.), scripting languages or programming frameworks (Bash, Python, Java, etc.), current industry standards and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics and/or Data Warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Non-technical: strong interpersonal skills, excellent English verbal and written communication skills, open-minded, willing to share knowledge and learn new skills.
