Job OverviewThis position is part of the Facilities Management functional area, which oversees all aspects of building operations and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team that ensures facilities are well-maintained and running efficiently.
About the RoleAs an Operations Manager - Building Maintenance with Cbre, you will oversee building operations and maintenance teams, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing formal supervision to team members
- Monitoring training and development of staff
- Conducting performance evaluations and coaching
- Scheduling and managing daily activities
- Mentoring and coaching team members as needed
You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing facility repairs and maintenance, maintaining positive client relationships, and preparing and managing capital projects and operating budgets.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities management
- Valid driver's license required
- Facility Management certification preferred
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and advanced math skills. You should be able to guide the exchange of sensitive information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems effectively.
