Job Opportunity:

Research Trainee in Molecular and Cellular Biology

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a leading international biomedical research institute based in Barcelona, Spain. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Trainee with expertise in molecular and cellular biology to join our team.

The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at defining the role of nuclear localization of a protein in cancer cells. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in immunofluorescence, cell culture, cell transfection and infection, small molecule treatment, and data analysis.

We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries, part of the genome biology department at the CRG. Our laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and cell and molecular biology techniques.

We are looking for a candidate with a master's degree in biological sciences or a related field, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision, and drive and commitment to produce high-quality experimental results.

The contract duration is 5 months, and the salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.

We are a dynamic and creative team, and we are looking for someone who is able to work as part of a team, with strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in biological sciences or a related field
  • Experience in immunofluorescence and image analysis
  • Experience with data analysis, including transcriptomics
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • Drive and commitment to produce high-quality experimental results
