About the Role

Abylsen is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the offshore wind energy sector. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for wind turbines, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Execute the design of electrical components for wind turbines, ensuring costs, reliability, and schedules are met.
  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of assigned electrical components throughout the project lifecycle, including defining requirements and features, providing technical clarifications, and resolving issues in the installed fleet.
  • Technical Query Management: Develop, respond to, and manage technical queries related to electrical systems.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure that components meet international codes and standards, and work closely with the Supplier Quality organization to ensure critical quality features are adequately tested and maintained.
  • Engineering Processes: Drive engineering processes to develop detailed designs and updates according to requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide support for issues arising in assembly, installation, or operational phases of the turbines.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in designing and developing electrical systems, preferably in the renewable energy sector or similar.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations for electrical components.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
