About the Role: As a key member of Storio Group, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering functions at the plant facility. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers and ensure that all plant equipment is functioning at optimal levels, production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will have a deep understanding of technical processes and systems, and be able to implement improvements to drive continuous improvement in plant performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for Capex planning and management as well as Asset Health management.

Salary: $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead both the maintenance and engineering teams at the Paterna plant, ensuring the teams are motivated, productive, and focused on delivering results.
  • Manage the technical team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging new ideas and initiatives that enhance plant performance.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the team complies with all health and safety regulations and that all staff are trained to work safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, quality, and safety, to ensure seamless coordination of activities and achieve overall plant objectives.
  • Develop and manage the capex budget for the maintenance and engineering functions, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Storio Group engineering team from other plants or corporate roles.

  • Asset uptime: The percentage of time that plant equipment is functioning without interruption due to breakdowns or maintenance.
