Barcelona, Barcelona, España Mongodb A tiempo completo
About MongoDB

MongoDB's mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere-on premises, or across cloud providers. With a strong presence worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it's no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

About The Team

The MongoDB Technical Services (TS) PMO team is responsible for devising, implementing, and improving essential process frameworks that enable TS teams to leverage advanced technologies and develop tools that enhance security, streamline support processes, and integrate seamlessly into MongoDB's ecosystem to ensure efficiencies throughout the customer lifecycle.

As owners of the processes and associated tooling that streamline these efforts for TS, the PMO also manages communication, timelines, scope, and effort across a broad portfolio of programs, projects, and team operations. By prioritizing collaboration and innovation, the TS PMO not only supports internal stakeholders but also delivers significant value to MongoDB's customers, setting new standards in functional excellence.

About The Role

As a Project Manager, Technical Services, you'll play a critical role as part of our PMO in the scaling of our elite Technical Services organization. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind a portfolio of strategic initiatives, each aimed at revolutionizing our operational efficiency and team capabilities. You'll thrive on complexity and make swift, thoughtful, data-driven decisions. Your ability to anticipate obstacles, pivot strategically, and take calculated risks will be crucial in maximizing our collective impact.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Barcelona for our hybrid working model.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a Leader: Driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgency to deliver on the right things at the right time. Experienced in managing a diverse portfolio of projects (technical & business) to deliver results and drive impact
  • Own the Details: Hyper-organized. Capable of juggling all the data associated with project plans, timelines, and other artifacts to ensure ownership and delivery against non-arbitrary milestones and deadlines
  • #BuildTogether: Create the conditions for effective collaboration. Facilitate effective communications, forums, and meaningful updates to build credibility and earn trust across all audience levels. You will prioritize relationship building naturally
  • Have a knack for looking around corners: Recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly. Identify and mitigate risks and issues, manage constraints, and be nimble enough to pivot as needed to ensure successful outcomes
  • Follow the data: Fluent in leveraging data for decision-making and able to become a go-to authority on metrics and performance insights to figure out what we can learn and improve on as a team
  • Detest surprises: Define objectives, scope, and deliverables in partnership with our teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and lay the ground rules for success
  • Live in the future: Ability to think long term and see the big picture. Expand knowledge into new domains as called upon. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, high standards, and operational excellence through the implementation of mechanisms, processes, and best practices for scale. What works today might not work tomorrow
  • Be a good human: Leave your ego at the door. Practice being vocally self-critical. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to others. Promote a collaborative culture. Enable accountability.
  • Act with integrity

Should I apply? If you're passionate about building things for the long term, are eager to learn, and willing to tackle new challenges, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't meet all the criteria listed. We value diversity and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in the UK or Tel Aviv for our hybrid working model. The working model for this role can be in office (3 days a week) or flexible (2 days a week). For the right candidate, we may consider remote arrangements.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years working in a technical capacity and/or in a project or program management role. Proven successes (and learnings from failures) in delivering multiple complex and dynamic projects across various methodologies
  • Communication: Able to convince, influence, and translate across a diverse set of technical and non-technical groups. Ability to adapt style and convey project status, outcomes, and strategic impact to all levels
  • Consensus: Drive interlock and cooperation between cross-functional teams, leaders, and stakeholders to ensure outcomes align with organizational goals and customer needs
  • Adaptability. Able to think on one's feet, bridge gaps, and be creative in defining new or evolving problem spaces and generating solutions
  • Improvement: Facilitate regular retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement in our project management practices and service delivery
  • Optimization: Develop strategies for effective resource allocation across multiple projects, balancing team workload and project priorities to maximize efficiency and output
  • Change: Lead the implementation of new tools, processes, or organizational changes within Technical Services and the PMO, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption to ongoing operations

Success Measures

  • In 3 months you will have gained a deep understanding of MongoDB and its ecosystem and be fully ramped on TS & PMO processes
  • In 6 months you'll have taken complete ownership of executing your portfolio of projects
  • In 9 months you'll have begun identifying areas for improving your team's operations, building consensus for improvement, and have an implementation plan for bringing these changes to fruition

What's In It For You

  • Mentorship & Career Growth: Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we celebrate knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to help you achieve your goals
  • Work-Life Harmony: Our team puts a high value on work-life harmony. It isn't about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it's about the flow you establish that benefits both parts of your life. We offer flexibility and encourage you to find your own balance
  • Empowerment & Autonomy: Our team believes in empowering you to #OwnWhatYouDo and #MakeItMatter. You'll receive the support you need to achieve a high level of independence
  • Location & Flexibility: MongoDB provides multiple working model options for our employees, including the flexibility to work from home to opportunities for collaboration and social interaction in a MongoDB office. These working models may be dependent on specific roles and are mutually agreed upon between employees and their managers
  • Generous compensation package: MongoDB believes in the value our employees add to the company and we pay in the top 95th percentile. Salary is just one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location
