Digital Communications and Marketing Manager for Sustainable Projects

This is a 6-month independent contractor position with the strong possibility of continued work beyond the initial contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing and communication strategies to support the growth of Santa Cruz Permaculture.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan, including social media management, email newsletters, online advertising, and graphics creation
- Manage creation and organization of marketing content by students and others
- Post content on social media on a consistent basis as part of an overall marketing strategy
- Create email newsletters in Mailchimp for courses and CSA
- Create flyers and social media graphics, and manage distribution
- Copywriting for all marketing materials
- Engage in communications with community partners for course & farm marketing
- Update website and calendar on a regular basis
- Help with farm produce sales as needed
- Update weekly produce availability and CSA inventory
- Plan and attend occasional marketing events on the farm and in the region
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on social media management, email marketing, and content creation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Google Apps, Mailchimp, and other relevant software
