Job Summary:

The University of Maryland Global Campus is seeking an Evening Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing academic and administrative support services to our students and ensuring quality assurance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and administrative support services to students, including documentation of student contact and scheduling of follow-up activities.
  • Develop and maintain open and positive communications with host military Education Services Officers and Education Center staff.
  • Organize and participate in local Education Fairs, Open Houses, and other events to promote UMGC and provide support to students.
  • Track and analyze class enrollments and student interest to provide input on scheduling and ensure classrooms are provided with adequate space and technology.
  • Provide assistance with processing students' military documentation and distribute marketing materials as needed.
  • Assist with base access and facility support, including opening and closing computer labs and ensuring building rules are adhered to.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Background in customer service
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and complex environment with accurate attention to detail
  • Possess basic office management and clerical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass a background check and meet requirements for individual logistic support (ILS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework
  • Valid driver's license

Who May Apply: Applicants with individual logistical support (ILS) preferred. Criteria under which applicants qualify for ILS are: must serve the US Forces exclusively; are not stateless persons; are nationals of a NATO state, excluding the host nation; are not ordinarily resident in the host nation. US Citizen preferred. Must have a valid passport.
