We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director, Analytic Risk Officer to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our Analytic Risk & Quality (ARQ) team, you will be responsible for providing independent, risk-based assessments of our analytic products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Validation and Monitoring: Independently validate and monitor the appropriateness of our analytic products and their related processes.
- Risk-Based Activities: Conduct risk-based activities, including evaluating the defensibility of analyses, transparency of published rationales, and the appropriate use of underlying models.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with first-line leaders and serve as an ambassador of ARQ's views, positions, and messages to various stakeholders.
- Platform Development: Lead/contribute to the development and maintenance of various analytic platforms/visualizations to further analytic capabilities and enable insights.
- Metric Development: Ensure the ongoing development and maintenance of metrics for our analytic portfolio.
- Emerging Risk Identification: Facilitate emerging risk identification and the development of remedies.
- Collaboration and Insights: Provide analytical insights and collaborate with first-line teams on holistic risk mitigation through an integrated framework and goal alignment.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare risk-based reports and materials, focusing on key systemic analytically relevant risks and trends, and assist with the preparation of Board materials as requested.
- Passion for ESG: Passion for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics.
- Education and Experience: BA or BS in Business, Finance, or related field. Graduate degree preferred. 4+ years in capital markets analysis.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Independence and Objectivity: Able to demonstrate independence and objectivity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel, SQL, VBA, R, Python preferred.
- Collaboration and Communication: Detail-oriented and able to solicit high-quality work in a collaborative environment.
