Job Summary

The AI Lab at Hewlett Packard is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to drive key initiatives in Generative AI, focusing on model optimization and deployment. This role will involve working closely with different teams to support modeling needs, translating high-level user requirements to specific modeling requirements, and creating plans to execute on those.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on model optimization and deployment, exploring strategies to reduce memory footprint and improve latency without impacting model quality.
  • Help define the technical roadmap of the AI lab to support HP's ambitious AI roadmap.
  • Define and develop processes and standards to ensure high-quality and safe models.
  • Adopt state-of-the-art Gen AI modeling and evaluation techniques.
  • Execute strategic engineering proof of concepts in the Gen AI space.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define the overall AI strategy and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
  • Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in AI modeling or applied ML.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and data acquisition and preprocessing.
  • Cross-org skills in effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.
